Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 Aviano Italy) American actress, known for her critically-acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was born to a U.S. Army officer in Italy and grew in Castle Rock Colorado. She started dancing and performing professionally at the end of the 90s. She was part of Boulder Dinner Theatre, and later in the Country Dinner Playhouse. After moving to Minnesota and taking part in a film mock-documentary about beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998). Between June 1951 and September 2012, she got engaged to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was spotted by actress Norma Shearer and agreed to sign a contract for MGM in the 1940s. In the following decade, Leigh appeared in a number of films that were popular, including Alfred Hitchcock Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin Lewis film made in 1954).
