Allison Brooks Janney has been an American actress for over twenty years. Known for her performances across the screen and stage, she has received various distinctions, such as the Academy Award a British Academy Film Award as well as a Golden Globe Award and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to two nominations for Tony Awards. After more than twenty years in the regional theatre, actress Allison Janney became a household star as White House press secretary C.J. Gregg in The West Wing (1999-2006) an acclaimed and well-loved television drama. Allison Janney, a long-time late bloomer, has never been anything but. In Ohio the state she was born, she received her license a year late compared to her peers. When she finished her university degree and had her first date, it was not a reality. After auditioning since she was 23 years old, she didn't make an appearance in a movie until the mid-30s. Faris is very picky about her roles following her departure from Mom in the year 2020. One exception being 2022's The Estate. Faris has revealed to PEOPLE she did not make the decision consciously. Anna Faris had left CBS's beloved sitcom Mom prior to the final eighth season. Faris had originally stated she would like to quit the sitcom Mom to accept new tasks. But, she reveals more about the reasons behind her return to acting. It's not like the producers were worried -- Janney's worn a wig on the show since the show's beginning. Fallon stated: "I told Fallon that Janney was wearing a costume since season one, but no one was aware of the fact. Since then, everyone is aware." Janney plans to keep the wig for a souvenir. During the initial seasons of the show, she was able to earn anywhere between $125,000 and the amount of $250,000 for each episode. Faris, along with co-star Allison Janey, are estimated to earn $200,000 per episode in the fourth or third season.
